The Pharaoh's Daughter

An English lord sheltering from a desert sandstorm falls into an opium-induced dream in which he becomes the ancient Egyptian Ta-Hor. In the dream, Ta-Hor saves and falls in love with Aspicia, the Pharaoh's daughter, even though she has been promised to the King of Nubia. The lovers flee, are pursued, and are nearly torn apart -- Aspicia even leaps into the Nile to escape capture -- before her father relents, pardons Ta-Hor, and blesses their union. The dream then dissolves, and the lord wakes beside Aspicia's sarcophagus, left only with the memory of the love he experienced.
